FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • I’m not sure if I’m ready — is this training for me?

It’s a common feeling, and completely normal.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. If you already have a regular practice and feel curious to go a bit deeper, that’s usually a good place to begin.

For many, it’s less about being “ready” and more about being open — to learning, to exploring, and to seeing where the journey takes you.

  • What happens if I’m not ‘good enough’?

You don’t need to be “good enough” to start.

The training is designed to support you where you are, not where you think you should be. Everyone comes in with different strengths, experiences, and doubts — that’s part of the process.

What matters more is your willingness to show up, stay curious, and be open to learning. The rest develops over time.

  • How flexible or experienced in yoga do I have to be to sign-up in the training?

You don’t need to be flexible to join. Yoga isn’t about achieving certain shapes or poses. And it’s definitely not about Instagram poses.

The more at ease you feel in your own practice, the more space you’ll have to focus on the training itself — from teaching skills to the deeper layers of yoga.

Having a regular practice makes it easier to build on the foundations and feel confident in the basic postures. As a guideline, around six months of consistent practice is ideal.

  • Can I take this yoga teacher training even if I do not have plans yet to teach yoga?

Yes. Whether or not you plan on teaching yoga, this is a wonderful in-wards journey and an opportunity to deepen your own practice and dedicate time to your self-growth.

  • Is the training physically difficult?

The training can be physically and mentally demanding, and you will be challenged in different ways. At the same time, it’s not about pushing to extremes, but about learning to listen to your body and understand your own limits.

Everyone comes in with a different level of strength and experience. The focus is less on performance, and more on exploring what’s possible for you — both physically and mentally — in a supportive and mindful way.

  • What style of yoga will I learn?

The training is rooted in a steady Vinyasa-based practice, with a strong focus on alignment and a touch of Ashtanga in both structure and flow. We also draw from Hatha to help you better understand the foundations and how to adapt the practice to different bodies.

Along the way, you’ll get a taste of other styles such as Yin, Restorative, Kundalini, and Yoga Nidra — giving you a broader feel for what yoga can be.

It’s also not just about the physical practice. We’ll gently introduce elements of yoga philosophy, so you can start to connect what happens on the mat with the wider context of yoga.

  • Will I get to practice teaching?

Yes. Live practice teaching is an important part of the training.

You’ll have the opportunity to guide others in a supportive environment, receive feedback, and gradually build confidence in your voice and approach. We’ll also use state-of-the-art technology to support your progress as you develop your own voice and teaching style.

It’s a space to learn by doing — without pressure to be perfect.

  • Can I combine this training with work or other commitments?

The training takes place on weekends, leaving you the rest of the week free for your personal and professional commitments. Around every two weeks, you’ll also have a full weekend off to rest and recharge.

During the time in between, you’ll be encouraged to practice, study, and prepare for your assessments. How much you take from the training largely depends on your level of dedication — the more you put in, the more you’ll get out of it.

  • How much time should I expect to dedicate outside weekends?

Outside of the training weekends, you’ll be encouraged to spend some time practicing, studying, and preparing for assessments.

To support this, you’ll also receive 10 class credits each month to help deepen your personal practice.

This doesn’t need to feel overwhelming, but a regular and consistent effort will make a big difference. How much you take from the training often reflects how much time and attention you’re willing to give it.

  • I have an injury/special condition – can I take this teacher training?

Yes, in most cases. We encourage you to listen to your body and adapt where needed.

If you have an injury or specific condition, please consult medical advice and feel free to reach out beforehand so we can guide you and make sure the training is suitable for you.

  • I may miss a weekend. What happens?

To get the most out of the training, we encourage full attendance. That said, we understand that life happens.

The training is structured at a steady pace, so if you miss a session, with some effort you’ll be able to catch up.

Please note that we’re not able to offer refunds if you’re unable to continue.

  • Can I teach yoga with the 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification obtained from Yoga Space?
