Beyond the Pose: Yoga Philosophy & Alignment

Yoga is more than shapes on a mat or... instagram pose. Behind every asana is a tradition of philosophy and wisdom that brings meaning to the practice. In this 3 -hour workshop, we’ll explore yoga philosophy in a down-to-earth way and weave it into our time on the mat.
We’ll also slow down and dive into alignment (examples Down dog, triangle, half moon, etc), so each pose feels steady, safe, and spacious. Alignment isn’t about perfection — it’s about protecting your joints, preventing injuries, and creating more ease in your body, understanding what works for you.
By blending philosophy with alignment, you’ll see your practice in a new light — not just as exercise, but as a tool for awareness, resilience, and balance. You’ll leave with insights you can use in any class and a deeper connection to your yoga journey.
Solstice Flow - An Arm Balance Workshop

Have you been curious about arm balances or inversions, but not sure where to start? Or maybe you’ve tried a few and want to feel more stable and in control. This workshop is designed to meet you where you are.
We begin with a focused, accessible flow to warm up the body and activate the key muscle groups. From there, we break things down step by step—looking at alignment, strength, and technique in a practical way that makes these postures feel more approachable.
You’ll explore poses like crow, headstand, and other variations, with options and progressions to suit different levels. It’s less about forcing yourself into a shape, and more about understanding how your body works and building confidence along the way.
Expect a supportive, down-to-earth session where you can try, fall, laugh, and learn. Whether it’s your first time or you’re refining your practice, you’ll leave with tools you can take back to your mat.
